I like bios. Nice long bios that tell things most people could care less about. When I go to a website and there isn’t a bio or even just a little blirp, I usually don’t visit again. I like to feel that connection with a blogger. Know some quirky nonchalant details about them before I decide whether or not I want to read their most recent post about a fight with their boyfriend or hear the latest cutesy story about their pet kitten, Fluffy.

So, hello. My name is Jackie. On a very hot summer day in the early eighties, I was born in a little New England town. My mother will never let me forget just how hot and miserable it was that day. She has told me countless times just how extremely horrible it was to give birth on one of the hottest days of the year with no air conditioning at the hospital. Every time I ever mentioned warm weather, I’m reminded of how she had to give birth on the warmest day of the year without even the luxury of a fan–so why was I the one complaining about it being warm?

I spent all my formative years growing up in various New England towns. By a very young age I quickly invoked nearly every single East Coast brat stereotype that exists and I couldn’t be more proud. In my youth and teenage years, teachers and family members realized I had a passion for performing and writing. My ideal summer vacation was writing chapter stories at night when there were too many mosquitoes out to play kick ball or hide-n-seek. My school year was filled with acting classes, plays, choirs, dance lessons, and writing.

Right before I was to graduate from High School, my dad went through a series of job transfers that eventually led me to living in the Rocky Mountains. I experienced the West, taking on various jobs, earning my Associate of the Arts degree, and getting started on my bachelors. Like the nomad I am, after nearly five years of living in Wyoming I decided it was time for a change.

In the summer of 2009, I moved across the country to live with my long distance boyfriend in Nashville, Tennessee. I don’t know where my life is headed. I’m two semesters away from graduating, working a retail job, I might change my degree to education, trying to get out of debt, hoping to someday write out one of the novels that is floating around in my head, and becoming friends with some of the greatest people I have ever met. All in all I love my life.

That’s just a little peek of who I am. Hopefully, you’ll stick around and get to know me a better.
